BOTANICAL NAME: Pisum sativum
Plant early as the soil can be worked and succession-sow. Plant 3" apart in non-acid soil; well-drained soil. Provide a trellis, fence, or tomato-type cage for vines to climb. Phosphorous and potassium are critical for a good crop-if your soil is not high in these, add bonemeal and wood ashes or kelp meal at planting time. Plant seeds ½" deep & keep soil cool and moist. Soak seed before planting & use inoculant for best germination and yield. Keep picked for continued yield.
