Plant early as the soil can be worked and succession-sow. Plant 3" apart in non-acid soil; well-drained soil. Provide a trellis, fence, or tomato-type cage for vines to climb. Phosphorous and potassium are critical for a good crop-if your soil is not high in these, add bonemeal and wood ashes or kelp meal at planting time. Plant seeds ┬Ż" deep & keep soil cool and moist. Soak seed before planting & use inoculant for best germination and yield. Keep picked for continued yield.

Fantastic Peas
on 04/07/13 by Dana Jones in TX

I havent had fresh green peas since I dont know when. I got my catalog and was housebound by cold drizzly nasty days. Cooped up in the house with catalogs...... I read about the Maestro peas and bought them. The only thing I did wrong was not plant more of them! They are sweet and melt in my mouth, fresh off the vine or cooked. Yummy! The pods are full and plentiful. Do yourself a favor and order these peas!
