I planted this in partial shade last summer, mostly western exposure to light, some morning exposure sept-april. Cool ocean breeze year round. I was looking for a summer tolerant green for salad. Germination was about 50%. Plants were fairly short, leaves were small, so the yield for salad was poor. However, they tasted great, clean, crisp, moist. Great for garnish, I just wanted more. I'm open to trying these again, but want to grow them in the shaded area of my garden. I'm also open to other seed suggestions for an edible shade garden in my climate.
