this is a very refined and delicious leafbeet type chard,
with leaves that cook quickly and have the tender texture and mild taste of true spinach. Harvest young for "baby spinach" that re-sprouts and takes heat. After standing all summer in the heat, we found that it still made mild tasty cooking greens in the fall.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Easy-to-grow and drought-tolerant vegetable will produce best when well-prepared soil and good drainage allow its roots to go deep. Prefers a sunny place and is slow to bolt. Can be planted from spring onwards. This variety is bred for production of baby leaves, so pull off the outer leaves when they are no more than 4" long. Can cut whole plant 2" from the ground and new will regrow. Adequate moisture and fertility will make for more tender leaves.
