GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Sow in spring for fall crop, or in mild winter areas, in fall for spring crop. Start seedlings in flat. Transplant into a well prepared, fertile soil. Fast, constant growth is best; keep watered, mulch, and use shadecloth (or taller crops) to give midday shade-heads will bolt in heat. Applying fertilizer helps growth. For best quality tie leaves up to cover the head. Harvest hards when 6" or before flowers open. This variety is "Sicilian Violet".
