Solid heads reach 6-8" in diameter, weigh 3-4 pounds, and resist splitting. Medium-sized, short, compact plants are ideal for small gardens. Makes delicious coleslaw, salad, or cooked dishes. Does well in a range of climates.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Start seedlings in flats 6-8 weeks before last frost. Transplant into garden about 4 weeks before the last frost, 15" apart in full sun and rich soil. Likes plenty of lime, compost, and moisture. In cool-summer areas, a new crop can be planted every month, but does not do well in hot weather. In mild-winter areas, can be planted as a fall crop. It is not good to plant cabbage in the same place each year.
