Provider Bush Green B... VBE-2279

Extra-early, widely adapted green bean.

Popular for fifty years because of its big early yields and rich flavor.

Well-known for its good cold-soil emergence in spring. Disease-resistance (to CBMV, NY15, PM, DM), makes it reliable even in bad years.

BOTANICAL NAME: Phaseolus vulgaris

Start in flats/pots or seed direct in sunny location after soil reaches at least 60F. Using Garden Combo inoculant produces nitrogen in the soil and can increase yields. Plant 1" deep and 6" apart in well-dug soil, not too acid. Sow every 2-3 weeks through mid-summer for continuous supply. Keep picking beans as they mature, and remove overripe ones-will stop making new beans if there are mature ones left on the plant. Excellent bush bean
on 07/30/16 by Doc George in Roca, NE

If you want a lot of great tasting beans early, this is the bean for you. This bean germinated well, grew fast and has produced for weeks. Truly stringless, tender and great flavor. I will be planting this again!

Wish I'd Ordered More
on 08/28/14 by Sarah in WV

This little bush bean has just bloomed itself to death. Im still getting a few beans off of it, even though we are in the depths of summer right now and the plants are looking a little fried. Huge producer proportionate to the plant, great tasting bean. I will be reordering.
