5 or 6 varieties, our choice, in a random assortment.
Seed colored with food coloring so you can plant separate types.
We have had requests for this from folks with small gardens.
A mix of six different large tomato varieties, with the seed dyed with food coloring so that you know which is which and can plant only one of each kind if you wish.
The varieties vary according to what we have on hand. Currently it is Caro Rich, Graham's Good Keeper, Big Rainbow, Evergreen, Brandywine and Marmande Super.
Please realize the assortment is random and may or may not have all six varieties included in any one packet, because we mix the seeds first and then put a scoop in the packet.
BOTANICAL NAME: Solanum lycopersicum
Start in flats or pots 2 months or so before setting out. Transplant into well-composted soil after danger of frost is past. Set plants several inches deeper than in the pot-they will root along the stem. Greedy feeder-needs ample amounts of compost or decomposed manure. Needs lots of potassium, phosphorous, but not as much nitrogen. Needs calcium to prevent blossom-end rot; use gypsum or bone meal if necessary. Keep soil most in dry weather with periodic, deep watering and mulch.
