red, pink, purple, white, and bicolor salad radishes with both round and long types.
All grown for roots, though. Lots of fun for kids and adults.
BOTANICAL NAME: Raphanus sativus
Start as early as ground can be worked. Plant seeds 2" apart or broadcast carefully, covering with ½" of fine soil firmly pressed down. Matures in 3-4 weeks. Early, quick-growing varieties suitable for forcing in greenhouses. Be sure to keep growing continuously and harvest when young. Won't do well under drought conditions. Stagger planting for continuous harvest. Mix includes round varieties in red, pink, and purple, with long types in white and bi-color.
