Rosemary HRO-8340

One of the most useful of all herbs.

Drought tolerant, it needs a well-drained soil with lime.

Seed germination is slow.

Wonderful in almost any cooked dish, but especially on meats-where its antioxidant qualities prevent toxic compounds from forming during cooking-and on potatoes.

A few sprigs infused in oil for cooking avoids loose leaves in the dish and adds health benefits.

Improves circulation, memory, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, slows aging, and lifts mood.

BOTANICAL NAME: Rosemarinus officinalis

Start seed in flats and transplant 18-24" apart. Seed is slow to germinate, and the seedlings are slow to develop. Prefers full sun and grows best in light, well drained soil. Water the young plants, but not too heavily. Once established it can take drought and heat. This perennial will grow to a height of 3'. Plant near Sage to stimulate mutual growth.

GROW BIOINTENSIVE® CULTURAL INFORMATION: Perennial/Zone 7-10/Height 3'/Spacing 18-24"
