GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Start seed early; chia needs a long growing season. Requires full sun and regular water. Transplant seedlings 1 foot apart. Roasted and crushed seeds can be mixed with water or chewed to make a gel that is an excellent source of energy; used by Native American runners for endurance. Grows 3 to 5 feet tall with blue flowers.
One packet will plant 60 sq ft when using 12" spacing in the bed.
