In early spring start seeds in flats. Transplant 15" apart. Tolerant of wide range of conditions, from boggy to dry, but best flavor and texture from plants in evenly moist rich soil. Plant in full sun. Self-sows easily if allowed to go to seed, otherwise divide plants once a year. For best quantity and quality of leaves, remove flower heads. This perennial grows to a height of 15" and grows well in containers.
