this grew over 6 feet tall and was very high-yielding of both grain and straw.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS: Sow in cool weather; stands heat fairly well. Does well in most soils not too acidic/alkaline. If growing as a grain plant seed 5" apart & let mature over a 4-6 month period. Harvest when heads are dry and golden. Its grains are nutritious and its stalks good for compost pile's carbon. Covers 12 square feet.
