BOTANICAL NAME: Viola cornuta
Start in flats laying seed on peat compost, cover with glass and germinate in shade. Or sow directly into finely raked, rich soil from Spring-Summer, and don't allow to dry out. Water very gently until sprouted. Likes full sun or some shade. Harvest flowers or leaves for salad. Harvest flowers when fully open for potpourri, and whole plant for medicinal use. Dry in dark, well-ventilated room.
