The Urban Homestead: ... BGE-1308
Kelly Coyne and Erik Knutzen, 2010, 330 pp. From the book cover, “The Urban Homestead is the essential handbook for a fast-growing new movement: urbanites are becoming gardeners and farmers. This fun, hands-on guide shows anyone who lives in the city or suburbs how to enjoy a more satisfying lifestyle and plant seeds for the sustainable future of our cities. If you ever thought of turning your lown or balcony into a garden, making your own organic jam…” This is the best urban homesteading book we can find. What we like is their enthusiasm and humor, and that they have covered most topics fairly well. It is easy to find fault with such an ambitious book that covers so many topics and projects. There are many spelling and grammer errors. They occasionally make real mistakes or significant omissions. This book is an idea book, not a handbook. Most topics will need further research on the internet or with more specific books, an approach we recommend. APPROX WEIGHT: 1.2 lbs.
