We consider vetch one of the easiest

cover crops for home gardens, because it is so easy to pull

when you want the bed for something else.

Enriches the soil all winter, blooms like crazy in spring.

Good bee plant.

Chickens and other livestock love it. When you want to plant something else, just yank or cut the plant, leaving its nitrogen-rich roots in place. Makes an excellent mulch when cut and sun-dried.
