Most of our orders go through the United States Post Office. Your tracking number is in your "Shipping Confirmation" email.

The Postal Service raised postal fees by a substantial amount after our catalog went to press. We have been compelled to adjust our shipping table accordingly. We apologize that our 2016 catalog table is out-of-date. This is the first increase in our shipping rates since 2008, and we simply could not continue to absorb the many price rises since then.

Orders to AK or HI may need more shipping. It is generally too expensive to ship UPS, so orders must go through the mail. We will contact you about the special handling charges associated with your order.
Very heavy or over-sized orders may also need more shipping. Again we will only charge you our shipping costs plus our handling.

International Order Policy:

WE CANNOT GUARANTEE THE ARRIVAL OF SEEDS SHIPPED OUT OF THE US! WE CANNOT REFUND FOR SEEDS THAT ARE LOST IN INTERNATIONAL MAIL. THE BUYER ASSUMES A RISK WHEN ORDERING SEEDS FOR INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENT. Import regulations vary widely on the importing of seeds. Please check with your country's Agriculture Department before ordering, to be certain that they will allow your order to enter. If specific information is required please let us know what information is needed. For Mexican customers we suggest and for Canadian customers we suggest or

The website will add domestic shipping but it will not be enough to ship internationally.  Additional shipping costs via the postal service will be determined and charged when the order is put together – shipping costs vary widely from country to country. We usually choose the most economical means to ship an order, but often no insurance or assurance of delivery is offered. Such guarantees are much more expensive and must be requested, if available.

We can provide a phytosanitary certificate for the seeds if necessary but there will be a $50 extra charge. This must be requested at the same time as the seeds. It cannot be sent later.  We cannot supply certificates for the plants that the seeds came from.

Usually, small orders of seeds are more likely to make it over the border than large boxes. Grains, compost crops and corn are most likely to be confiscated and they are not usually returned to us; instead the entire package is often destroyed. We are not responsible for seeds seized by agricultural authorities. You assume all risk for the shipping of your order. We will not refund foreign orders that were seized, lost or stolen.

Books and supplies may also have limitations or conditions of entry into your country. Please check with your Customs department for limitations. Shipping for books and supplies is high.
